SHOE BANDIT
My final animation fulfilled what I wanted to say in my story and I think that is the main point. I did encounter problems both in building my biped and getting it to do all the motions I wanted and not just the scripted ones. It was quite time consuming learning these new things but I got there in the end. Some sections did not quite turn out how I wanted but it got me to the finished product and I am proud of what I was able to achieve.
I wanted my character to be something unusual but also in a way anonymous because we are not meant to notice him in real life, he is a sneaky guy. That is why he does not have facial features or sounds associated with him. All in all I think this animation solves the mystery of the missing shoes well and shows all the new techniques I have learned.
This is my storyboard I meant to post earlier but completely forgot!
I want to invoke a sense of curiosity in the audience and to just creatively express the mystery of when something you need goes missing. I want it to be fun to watch and to perhaps let people discover that these everyday things can be used for something unexpected and it is just a matter of perspective.
